Felicia Hall Allen & Associates works hard to
find creative solutions to conduct
highly-sensitive internal corporate
investigations. FHA and Associates has helped
to resolve allegations of inappropriate,
unethical, or criminal behavior lodged against
organizations and/or its senior-level management
without the intervention of outside lawyers and
the media so that her client’s reputation and

Felicia is also the former Executive Director of
Leadership America North Carolina, a statewide
women’s leadership organization that educates,
connects and empowers women leaders to improve
North Carolina communities.
A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, she earned a
basketball scholarship to the University of Iowa
where she earned two degrees - one in elementary
education the other a Juris Doctorate from the
College of Law. Following graduation she went
on to intern with the National Collegiate
Athletic Association and the following year
headed to Atlanta to work the 1996 Summer
Olympic Games.
Both Felicia’s resolve and enthusiasm enabled
her to excel as manager for NIKE’s ® women’s
basketball sports marketing division. Mrs.
Allen combined her love for law and basketball
as Vice President of Team Operations for the
WNBA Charlotte Sting. Her leadership and
influence helped land Hall of Fame Coach, Anne
Donovan to take the helm of the Charlotte Sting
at the end of her first season with the team. In
just two seasons, the Sting was able to soar
from the league’s second worst record to the
honor of the second best team by winning the
WNBA Eastern Conference Champions.
Recognized as a community leader, Felicia was
named one of the Charlotte Post's People
of Prominence, Charlotte Business Journal's Top
40 Under 40 and was also recognized as one of
the "First Ladies of Charlotte" by A Child's
Place. Last year, she was elected to serve as a
member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame
Board of Directors. In addition, Felicia was
selected from thousands of former Big Ten
student athletes to be featured during Black
History Month on the Big Ten Conference
website. Felicia is a proud member of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the Crown
Jewels Chapter of The Links Incorporated.
As President and CEO of Felicia Hall Allen & Associates, Felicia is living her dream of
helping others to see the possibilities that
exist within and around them to maximize their
potential. It is her joy to help others’ dreams
come true.
Felicia resides in Charlotte, NC with her
husband Johnny Allen.

Johnny
Allen, Lead Trainer and A STEP UP Director
 Johnny
Allen is in his third year as Director of the
Athletic Symposium to Elevate Professionals &
Uplift Performance (A STEP UP). He is a graduate
of the University of South Carolina and holds
certifications in “Teambuilding, Group
Initiative and Leadership Development through
Experiential Based Learning” from Winthrop
University and the University of North Carolina
at Charlotte. Some of his work experiences have
included: Winthrop University’s (WINGS) Middle
School Program Coordinator, York Technical
College Student Support Services, Kennedy
Charter Public School ( Assistant Principal),
Rock Hill High School (Basketball & Track Cross
Country Coach), and South Region (PTI) Technical
Assistance Coordinator (providing technical
assistance and training to North Carolina Title
I Schools to establish, develop, and operate 23
federally funded (PTI) programs 13 states).
Currently, Mr. Allen travels the nation
providing Leadership Development, Management
Training and Creating a Shared Vision Retreats.
As a senior consultant for Felicia Hall Allen &
Associates, Johnny has co-facilitated Team
Building & Leadership Development sessions for
several teams in many athletic conferences
including the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Big East, Pac
12 and SEC. He has been the featured keynote
speaker and trainer at a wide variety of
national conferences and conventions reaching
senior managers, leaders, coaches, student
athletes and administrators across the nation. A
few of his clients have included: the United
States Olympic Committee
(Administrative/Technical Assistance Strategic
Planning & Leadership Development); 100 Black
Men of America National Conference, Las Vegas,
Nevada (Presented on the Disproportionality of
African American Males); and the US Virgin
Islands Court System (Creating a Shared Vision
Training).
Johnny is nationally recognized for his
expertise in teambuilding and group initiative
training. His insight on leadership has impacted
numerous organizations and agencies including
Fortune 500 Companies. Rather than presenting
information as a teacher expert, he facilitates
training and workshops utilizing the philosophy
of experience-based training, which is a
learner-centered approach to development and
organizational change. Mr. Allen holds
certifications in the following areas: The DiSC
Facilitation System, Coaching for Success,
Crucial Confrontations, Situational Leadership,
Cultural Diversity, Managing Multiple Projects
and Total Quality Management. He also uses other
instruments such as The Color Code Personality
Test which helps workshop participants
understand their Core Motive and innate
strengths and limitations in order to relate
more effectively with others. As well as, The
Five Dysfunctions of a Team - Team Effectiveness
Profile, a popular diagnostic instrument
designed to assist groups in improving their
output and team chemistry.
